It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the sudden passing
of our beloved accompanist, Naomi Derksen.
Naomi will be sorely
missed by all who
knew her.

In memory of Naomi, we are proud to contribute a finiancial assistance Bursary. We focus on young musicians who study choral accompaniment through BCRMTA, Victoria Branch.

Tribute Concert (poster) honouring Naomi and Alex was hosted
by The Canadian College of Performing Arts. Naomi was on the faculty. Avalon Singers along with a donation, performed Fields of Gold in her honour. Naomi's family was in attendance. Proceeds went to fund the continuing Naomi Derksen Memorial Endowment Fund.

Avalon Singers performed this at Naomi's Celebration of Life. Laurie Walker performs a powerul SOLO. We have since repeated this song in 2024 - same wonderful soloist!
