The Avalon Singers
are an all female non-profit community choir.
We strive to sing well and we perform completely off
book.
To help the learning and memorizing process, rehearsals are recorded and posted online each
week for review and each individual part is provided along with sheet music.
Laurie Walker
is our beloved Choral Director who makes Thursday
evenings fun for us all.
We also have our truly amazing
Accompanist -
Kathy
Russell. During concerts, to make our music sound even better, we
are accompanied by professional
percussionist Caleb Patstone or Brad Hawkes, Guitarist, Matthew Webster and others.
Kudos as well to our videographer, John Battle who supplies our
YouTube
Channel.
Our singers come from all over Victoria. Choral experience and sight
reading is absolutely an asset
but only the love
of singing is essential. Blend your voice with ours.
We want you to try us out free for three weeks.
There will be an informal audition of the music just learned
after the three week trial period to make sure our voices blend and
to see if we're a good fit.
